Catena Malbec 2009

Score: 89

Province: Mendoza

Grapes: 100% Malbec

The nose is a little swampy at first, then a lovely maple syrup note comes across. Then the wine explodes into flavor as it enters the mouth, with bright berries followed a delicious note of stewed prunes. The texture may be a little chalky at first, but give it time to open up.
