Vistalba Corte B 2009

Vistalba Corte B 2009Score: 92

Province: MendozaVistalba Corte B 2009

Grapes: 60% Malbec, 20% Bonarda, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon

Aging: 12 months in French oak and 10 months in the bottle

A blend that would scream “Argentina” if it weren’t so refined – all of the classic flavors of malbec, cabernet sauvignon, and bonarda are there, with sweet red and black berries sitting next to a box of baking spices, which reveal themselves by turns in the mouth as well thanks to a strong structure that carries through the long finish. This is the bottle you open at the first lecture of Argentine Wine 101.
